Keeping the glorious traditions of the Russian higher school, conserving and increasing the best undertakings of the IBI, flexible adoption of progressive foreign education experience;

Guaranteeing that the content and quality of education meet the needs of people and the demands of society and state on the whole, basing on the optimal balance of fundamental, professionally applied, academic as well as extracurricular and cultural programs;

Creating conditions stimulating scientific activity aimed at the development of the Institute's creative potential and the fulfillment of particular tasks and projects emerging in the banking system and in the process of economic development in whole;

Organizing the educational process basing on the involvement of the best teachers, the use of modern methodology and techniques of teaching and complete informatization of the Institute, inviting leading economists, practising bankers, prominent statesmen, notables from the field of science, culture and real economy;

Widening and modernizing the range of offered educational services from senior secondary education up to doctorate by increasing the number of specializations and forms of education, providing personal approach to students and creating favorable atmosphere for maximum self-actualization of every student, both within the walls of the Institute and outside it;

Contributing to positive friendly atmosphere of creativity and partnership encouraging participation of the students, faculty and staff in the Institute's activity, insuring comfort and security within the walls of the IBI;

Contributing to the employment of the Institute graduates by supporting the quality control system based on juxtaposition of self-evaluation and the appraisement of experts from professional associations, with obligatory further publication of results, which is the basic confirmation of the quality of education and the proficiency of the graduates;

Insuring competitiveness of the IBI by building the system decision-making procedures on the basis of permanent monitoring of the quality of the services offered and on market positioning;
