Quality Manager Center (QMC)

General information

QMC is a consultancy and analytical subdivision of the Institute catering for the compliance of educational for the compliance of the educational level with the international standards.

The major the subdivision is perfecting the management mechanism to effectively manitor the quality of education in the Institute.

The major task of the subdivision is constant tracing of business – processes and their external environment and the evaluation of the Institute competitiveness.

The realization of the above tasks provides for adequate and timely response to any challenges arising.

The Centre’s Tasks

The harmonization of managerial systems resulting in generally accepted standards of quality, safety, environmental protection, information protection, etc and the growing trend to integrate the above result in creating unified methotodology and formal description of processes. On these make the process of managing a university/institute more universal, permitting to cut expenses, and expedites the IBI conversion into institution with future ISO standards.

Feasible results of the introduction of quality management system (QMS) in the IBI:

  1. Real insight into the system of management(results and parameters of business processes;
  2. Monitoring and training processes in real time;
  3. Systematic documents turnover and management activity;
  4. Structured interrelations between the IBI internal divisions, consistent distribution of rights and responsibilities between the IBI President’s and the Dean’s offices and its numerous departments(chairs) in relation to the quality of education.

In view of the above it becomes possible to out line the principal stages of IBI development in the derection of quality of education improvement:

  • Developing and perfecting the model of processes for the education quality management system (QMS) in the IBI
  • Holding of meetings with perspective employers aimed at evaluating the students quality of training
  • Audit and certification
  • Organizing special conferences devoted to quality problems

Structure and Composition of the Quality Management Centre

The Centre comprises two divisions:

  • Internal audit division
  • Competiveness evaluation division

The Centre’s Activity

The Centre’s activity covers there main directions:

  1. 1. Competiveness Evaluation
  • Educational services market research and forecast of its development;
  • Demand research, planning the range of offered services and their competiveness evaluation;
  • Verifying the validity of self-evaluation in terms of compliance to criteria set by the Government of Russian Federation and Ministry of Education as to the quality of Specialists training;
  • Developing the monitoring and measuring System for QMS related processes in the IBI;
  • Introduction of TQM in the IBI;
  1. Internal Audits
  • Organization of internal audits aimed at checking the quality and monitoring the QMS in the IBI;
  • Analysis of processes in the IBI and suggestions to correct them;
  • Information processing and financial analysis;
  • Introduction of progressive means and methods of education quality control;
  • Taking part in licensing, attesting and accreding the IBI.
